Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have a twin or multiple pregnancy?

Please add 10% onto the price of the packages. Twins will also take a little longer than a singleton pregnancy.

What determines the quality of my 3D/4D scan?

The quality of your 3D scan and 4D scan movie is determined by the baby’s position, amount of amniotic fluid around the baby (the more the better) and the amount of tissue (skin, fat and muscle) between the probe and the baby.

What if few images are captured?

Due to the above reasons or other circumstances, images may not be successful the first time. We encourage you to return for another try as the baby may change position etc. If, after the attempts there are very few images captured especially of the face, I will offer you a partial refund or discount.

Do I need to have a full bladder for a 3D/4D scan?

No. We would however, recommend you be hydrated but without an uncomfortably full bladder.

Do I need to have any medical or diagnostic scans before my 4D scan?

Yes. You must be presenting for your first scan (see first, second and third trimester packages) or already had a diagnostic scan of this pregnancy prior to having and 3D or 4D scan.

Can I bring my family along?

Absolutely! The room will easily fit 4 adults. If there are more, please let us know prior to your appointment if possible, so that arrangements can be made for more seating.

Can I ask for a gender determination?

For most of the scans Yes. Please see our package options. Gender determination will only be performed from 17 weeks onwards. If you have chosen one of the packages which includes gender determination, then this will not be performed if you are less than 18 weeks.
